Tour Details: Private Al Ain city Tour

Duration: 8 hours

Al Ain was once a vital oasis on the caravan route from the UAE to Oman. The history of the ‘Oasis City,’ the emirate’s heritage heartland and one of the world’s oldest permanently inhabited settlements, can be explored through visits to the Al Ain forts (one of which has now been transformed into an arts center), the Al Ain National Museum and a trip to the prehistoric tombs at Hili Fort -known to be over 4,000 years old.

Other attractions include:

  • The Al Ain oasis,
  • Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort,
  • The camel market -one of the last few remaining,
  • Jabel hafeet-Rising 1,240 meters, Jebel Hafeet is the Abudhabi emirate’s highest peak, and UAE’s second.
  • Al Ain Oasis-Employing a 3,000-year-old falaj irrigation system, Al Ain Oasis features a series of mesmerizing water channels that give life to the palm plantations in this inner-city paradise. Spread over 1,200 hectares (nearly 3,000 acres) and containing more than 147,000 date palms of up to 100 different varieties, choose one of eight separate entrances to explore how countless generations have tapped into underground wells to keep the beautiful city green. Entry is free.
  • Wadi Adventure, a man-made white water rafting, kayaking and surfing playground in the shadow of Jebel Hafeet, and the world’s most advanced go-karting facilities, for a taste of the fast track.
